Introduction
The following is a prequel to “Future News Dream Journey: America at Sea” which I dreamt on July 22nd and published on July 28th as part of a “News from the Future: September-October 2022 Preview“ article. I called it a prequel because I dreamt it prior to the “America at Sea” dream, but it takes place further into the future so maybe I should amend that and call this a sequel. In a way, this is a “prequel-sequel”; dreamt before the other dream, yet taking place in a future time.
Today’s post describes an event from the previous week, in which I experienced a simultaneous dream and future life progression. You can perceive this as a possible future or short sci-fi story. Could it be both, whereby sci-fi predicts the future? Only time will tell…
Predictive Dreams and Future Life Progressions I
Today is Saturday, July 16th, and I am adding final edits to this section of the post. Last night I woke up thinking about past life regressions and future life progressions. As a result of this reverie about travelling to the future in previous times of my life, I started to go through the cognitive process of a hypnotic progression. When I fell back asleep, I encountered an unexpected adventure in the form of an unplanned journey to the future. It seems that simply by thinking about the subject, not having any expectations that it would happen, and beginning to give myself hypnotic suggestions, my unconscious mind embarked on a progression to another lifespan beyond this one.
Additionally, when I analysed this dream for signs of predictions, I applied measures that I’ve identified in previous dreams that turned out to be premonitions, including but not limited to realism, specificity, continuity, and empathy.
Future Life Progressions During Dream States
In this dream, I was already exploring a future time before I travelled farther into subsequent periods. I was a guest at an unusual house and this structure was able to “breathe” by expanding and contracting to adapt to the air outside. Mechanised machines operated systems throughout the house that I could not entirely understand but nonetheless accepted. It was like a robotically-reinforced dwelling, where the entire structure was self-supporting through mechanical means and I was moving from machine to machine to interact with its connected microsystems. The home was set up to function like a microcosm of the natural world.
I knew I was about to go on an adventure to the future, and for some reason, I thought one snack would be enough to pack. I approached a machine on a kitchen island that looked like a 360-degree, five-tier, spinning metallic cupcake rack. In each of the places where a cupcake would have been, there was a TV-themed snack inspired by a historical show. On the snack rack I chose, each tier featured TV sitcoms from a different decade in the twentieth century, from the 1950s to 1990s. I wavered between snacks based on My Favorite Martian and The Jetsons, finally settling on a Gilligan’s Island-themed bag of chips, placed them the bag my pocket, and left the kitchen.
Next, I approached a part of the house that was close to the gardens outside, but also near a stairwell. Just as I was checking to ensure that my Gilligan snack was still secured in my clothing, a compelling force pulled me into a tunnel that drifted downward and eventually ended with me standing next to a ladder opposite a set of stairs. I got the feeling that I could choose the ladder or stairs, but either way I would be taken into another world.
I went through this process multiple times and into many places that I will detail in other posts. The most memorable of these adventures was when I ended up further into the future. On this particular journey, I emerged from the tunnel and walked to the front of the house, which had looked like recycled wood at the beginning of the dream. I tried to walk back inside (most likely ready for more snacks after my journey) but there were people guarding the structure. It also was no longer wooden but covered in greenery and reinforced by a substance I could not identify. In fact, there was an abundance of greenery all around me and it was quite lush and wild.
I noticed that the clothing being worn was minimalist and everyone was dressed in similar garments that looked like a futuristic version of ancient Greek togas, only comprised of layers of off-white coverings that apparently allowed for maximum breathing. It’s almost as if the garments themselves could breathe, had pores, and were an extension of the bodies that wore them. The clothing seemed gender-neutral, as did the community. No matter what the changes were, gender didn’t seem to carry the same gravity as it had in previous periods. There was an underlying concept of gender, but the cultural emphasis, at least in this region, had shifted to values related to other aspects of life. It’s almost as if spirituality and connection had become the primary priority, followed by intellectual development, and then the body. I felt like I might be out of place, coming from the early twenty-first century and dressed as I was in comparatively colourful, layered clothing. I wondered if they thought my clothes looked like a historical costume.
Nonetheless, I didn’t feel even slightly judged by anyone. There was neutrality in their philosophy, where strangers weren’t pre-judged or assumed to be either good or bad. Furthermore, it felt like judgment was considered to be a waste of important time, and while there was an almost neo-Stoic emphasis on morality, the theoretical and religious binaries of “good” and “evil” were considered to be old-fashioned. Somewhere along the way, an acceptance of the unknown, appreciation for nuance, and a reverence for mystery had taken hold in the consciousness of in this new world. The sometimes adamant convictions of our early-twenty-first century times had shifted. This new culture revered flexibility, adaptability, and awe, values that might have served as necessary survival mechanisms during previous conflicts. No matter what words would define these times, the people I encountered seemed humble.
Whatever the names might have been for the belief systems of this future community, I got the impression that it was almost the opposite of a materialist worldview. On the one hand, this time didn’t emphasise physical needs as primary. On the other hand, most of their efforts were directed towards the physical habitability of the Earth. This philosophy might seem like a dichotomy, but it made sense to me in the context of their values, because the emphasis had shifted from personal material needs to universal terrestrial requirements. Community support was considered to be an extension of a non-religious spiritual practise. This popular change was made possible by acknowledging the physical environment as an expression of, and point of access to, spiritual energy. The underlying theory of these times was also mirrored in their fashion concepts, which seemed to be that of uniform clothing as an extension of the body, and the body as an extension of Nature. I have to admit that I didn’t appreciate the simplicity of their clothing, but it is possible that this is what they wore for practical reasons, especially while farming, and not in other contexts.
Notably, it was clear from observing their behaviour and sensing the consciousness of the people of this time that they did not consider themselves to be superior to the environment. They were caretakers of the Earth, with a duty to nurture the land and support every tree, while also giving them space to grow as if they were their own children. Instead of expecting the land to serve the people, the people were continually serving the land. My awareness of their inner consciousness added to the element of empathy that I was experiencing in this dream, which is one of the signs of premonitions that I’ve identified in previous dreams.
These people of the future were friendly and welcoming, yet firm about their rules and protective of this house. They were unified in their agreements and human behaviour had developed more deeply as a result of climate crisis survival methods. Without cooperation, they would not collectively be here in these future times. Historical buildings had taken on a heightened level of importance, and the preservation of past relics was taken extremely seriously. While these people were non-confrontational with me, they clearly had rigid rules when it came to protecting their surroundings. Laid on the lawn and against the house were what appeared to be rakes and other gardening implements. Nearly everyone was working with a keen focus on building up the land but what they were doing was not called “work”. Helping each other was a part of living but these were not “jobs”. The economic system had totally changed, naturally collapsing in order to be rebuilt in another form. When I looked beyond this group of people and their garden, farmland, and historical communal structure, I noticed fields for miles and the greenery extended out as far as I could see.
There were hills that recently formed but these were already covered in green grass, plants, and newly growing versions of trees that I have never seen before. I didn’t notice many flowers or insects but I didn’t pick up on everything that was happening there and I also wasn’t visiting the entirety of the planet during this specific journey. I detected that the smell was different than the Earth that we know now. It was profoundly fresh, almost like the simultaneous scent of different fruits, and I wasn’t inhaling any pollutants. Everything felt peaceful in this realm and the people guarding this now-ancient home and working together on the land were not only clearly gentle with each other but also obliging to me, an oddly-dressed time-travelling stranger carrying an ancient snack. Their hospitality and warmth were especially surprising to me, considering that I lived during the fourth Industrial Revolution when so much damage to the Earth had been caused, and they apparently were directing most of their energy into repairing and recovering from an era they had never known.
While I felt grateful to be immersed in this charming hamlet, I was also concerned about no longer being able to go into this house to visit my friends. What happened? I was in the same location but everything changed. These people looked uniform like they were gender-neutral, yet somehow more than just gender-neutral: they were beyond gender, transcending concepts of feminine or masculine. The concepts of clothing were more about what was supportive of the environment, rather than an extension of human identity or a way of fitting into or identifying with a group. I finally accepted that I might have travelled further into the future than I initially realised. I asked one of the people guarding this home what the year was.
Precognition and Dream Interpretation
The answer shocked me because one of them replied, “10,502”. My second thought, even in the context of being asleep and dreaming, was that it wasn’t possible that humans could be alive so far into the future based on where we are in 2022. My first instinct, however, was an emotional one. I looked at the front door of the home and knew that no one I knew would be within. Everyone I had known was gone. There was no one left to care, but also nobody to impress. I could do with my time what I wanted in the confines of this time. So how should I use it?
The third thought I had was about that specific number. Were they using a different system to record time? In other words, will we stop using a calendar that measures everything based on the birth of Christ in the future? It certainly didn’t look like I’d travelled 8,000 years into the future. According to the Hebrew calendar, 2022 AD is equivalent to 5782, but that would still place this vision nearly 5000 years into the future which still seemed too far to be plausible. No, I decided that this seemed like a calendar they created that was not related to religion. But why would I travel to this year? When I woke up, I recalled that a student loan from many years ago had a balance of $10,002 and that’s been on my mind because of the present movement to forgive student loans in the U.S., which explains that part of the number. The presence of a number with a specific personal connection invalidates 10,002 as the year I travelled to. I do not know what the $500 or the number 500 was meant to mean, but sometimes explanations for dream clues will be revealed at a later time. What I do know is that this dream took place at some point in the future, and beyond my current lifetime.
Moreover, when separating the personal from the universal meanings in a dream, it is helpful to locate and differentiate personal meanings. It is possible that part of that number was specific to something that had been on my mind because of the current pressure that activists are putting on the U.S. executive branch for student loan debt forgiveness. I did gather from this number that was close to $10,000 that this could be a prediction about the U.S. executive branch forgiving up to $10,000 in federal student loans in anticipation of elections. If you see numbers in dreams, explore if they have a personal meaning to you because it is possible that the number itself represents something therapeutic or a form of processing information rather than a prediction. Sometimes predictive phases overlap with dream therapy and that seemed to be the case with this experience. For instance, this dream took place between the middle-of-the-night phase when precognitive dreams are more likely to occur, and the early morning period which can offer opportunities to process events from years ago. In a way, this unconscious state between the middle and end of nightly dreams can be a journey from the future to the past before we wake up in the present.
Future Life Progression Conclusion
I don’t know what year it actually was in the dream, but it represented something in the future in a world where the highest priority seemed to be keeping everything green and preserving history. There is more than one possibility of what could happen with the climate crisis, and part of that depends on free will. The future life progression I was taken to occurred at some point beyond this lifetime, as everyone I knew had moved on, at least in the form I know them now. Had some of us been reborn? Is it possible that one of the people I saw in my dream could be myself in a future lifetime? I don’t know. What I could gather from this vision was a potential for something extremely green and regenerative in the future. I don’t know how much of this regrowth was due to previous flooding, but I got the feeling that it was a combination of floods and subsequent adaptations that contributed to this new landscape.
There are other potential outcomes, too, which are more ominous and would be based on not taking sufficient climate and environmental action in the narrow window of time that we have. All that needs to happen won’t happen at the ideal time, which means that we must plan for some hardships. However, the more that’s done now, the fewer hardships we will face and the better life we can have in the future. Based on this dream, it looks like those hardships will also be transformed into catalysts for action—whether those endeavours take place on the surface of the Earth, underground, or in space (the latter two scenarios are time travel dreams I will share in another post). As for this dream, I believe it focused on some of the positive possibilities for our future. In sum, the signs of precognition that I observed in this dream included realism, specificity, and empathy, although I didn’t experience temporal continuity because I travelled from one time period to another and continued to visit other time periods after the dream I described above.
According to a 2018 Scientific American article, a consistently involved minority of about 25% is capable of changing society: “The magic number, the tipping point, turned out to be 25 percent”. We can be a part of that 25%, and by doing so we influence those around us who also join in the movement for a future in which humanity and other species can continue to subsist and therefore exist. This was a hopeful dream as it showed me a glimpse into the stability that might be possible when priorities change as a result of an awakening of human consciousness, resulting in unity and solidarity that builds towards a commitment to a better future. In a way, that awakening is already in the process of happening, but the systems of our material world aren’t catching up quickly enough with what we know we need to survive. The escalating frequency and severity of wildfires, floods, and global heating in recent years make that clear.
No matter when it starts, the end of an era of fossil fuels is necessary for any and all future dreams to be activated. There is no alternative. Planting trees, recycling, and implementing technologies are all well and fine and every option should be taken, but all of those strategies combined will not be enough to save us. The fossil fuel industry simply has to be replaced. If we don’t do it Mother Nature certainly will, but at a greater and graver cost to us. The sooner harmful greenhouse gas emissions are stopped, the better the outcome can be for everyone. Thereafter, a new world can be created and encouraged to flourish in this lifetime, and in every future life of all unborn generations.
In the next part of this series, “Adventure to the Future II: Predictive Dreams and Future Life Progressions”, I will recall the other places I psychically time travelled to and the characters I encountered on this dream journey.

Thank you Kyra for this great post. It's always so interesting and insightful reading about your dreams and interpretations. I know that things are not good with how we are treating this planet but I have a sense of knowing that it will be ok. We are seeing more and more people raise their consciousness and see things in a whole new light. Once we start seeing things more as WE instead of ME then we'll be on the right track. Good luck with your exams!
I'm just checking in to post an update about recent predictive dreams, which I will publish in more detail after my exams. The first dream was about a trip to Tennessee, a place I've never been to before. It took place in the future and I knew that because I was looking for an additional passport that I don't currently own. In this timeline, water had moved onto the land and ocean waves were ebbing and flowing on concrete. The beach was made of concrete instead of sand but visitors were happy about it. This water was regarded as a spectacle, appreciated, and people were enthusiastically vacationing on this inland "beach". There were tourist shoppes and guided hikes surrounding the newly formed beach, which was located in the centre of town.
The second dream I had this week was not as upbeat as the first one about Tennessee. In the main image of this dream, part of San Francisco was mostly submerged in water. The imagery focused on a Victorian house that was in water nearly up to the roof. The water moved around it continuously, presumably with the motions of the wind, but everything under the surface of the ocean was eerily inert. It reminded me of the neighbourhood featured in the opening credits of the 1980s sitcom Full House. The triangle-shaped roof was visible above the lapping ocean that had encroached upon the city. The roof looked like it had rusted, which made me wonder how long ago The Great Flood of San Francisco had transpired. I felt helpless to do anything about this enormous catastrophe that had already taken place.
I wish it was otherwise but my dreams about flooding have been intensifying over the years, and the rising of the ocean that is depicted in my dreams becomes higher in height every year, and now each month. Now they are happening in such close proximity, sometimes more than once a week. In these dreams, it seems like a chain of circumstances has been set in motion that is not only accelerating a shift of land and water, but also having a domino effect that causes one disaster to exacerbate another. I don't know how to explain this phenomenon in technical terms as I am not a scientist. The closest concept I know of might be entropy, although that doesn't necessarily mean that this concept would be at play everywhere or all at once or even that it's an accurate description of what's to come. Overall, it seems like some areas are more protected than others but some places that should have been prepared are coming up short. Everyone is affected but in different ways and to varying degrees.
I have noticed in my own past experience with recording these experiences that when predictive dreams of the same theme occur with increased frequency, those circumstances tend to happen very soon. For instance, I've seen in my dreams a gradual unfolding of glacial melt will have a quicker and higher rise of sea levels than anticipated.
Regardless of what may happen, it is still and will always be necessary to fight for the best world possible, no matter what our starting point may be in the future. As of now I would recommend getting close to your spiritual practise, whether that's prayer and meditation or something else that works for you. Psychological health will be highly valued in the future, even in near-future times, and much more so than credit scores or car brands—or any brands, for that matter.
What is about to happen for the rest of this year and especially in 2023 will be shocking, unprecedented, and is going to radically change our way of life. The tornadoes and hurricanes in 2023 seem particularly amplified in the US, and these events will bring about more climate action.
Keep in mind as you go through these times, as we navigate this together, that the world is being forced to change. Mother Earth is reclaiming her space. If those in power don't act to protect nature, nature will protect itself in an attempt to survive. It's unfortunate that there will be losses and tragic that all of this could have been avoided. Those tragedies and losses that we will be witnessing is something that should be prepared for so more of us can stay stable enough to be of help those who are suffering during this environmental transition. What we are seeing in Pakistan is abut to happen elsewhere. Fossil fuels simply have to end, and they will but if it happens voluntarily we can preserve civilisation. If it happens involuntarily, the challenges and losses will be much greater. Billions could be displaced and food/water insecure. Therefore, climate actions and even civil disobedience will be necessary and also inevitable.
If you have a spiritual practise, a connection with something beyond the material world, and a higher purpose in the form of some kind of service, you will be prepared for this next and most alarming (but also, for some, possibly adventurous and certainly transformative) phase of human existence.
I will write more as soon as I can, and I am looking forward to sharing details about the first dream with you, as I want to emphasise that it left me with an immensely positive feeling. If you are looking to analyse your dreams, notice the feeling you have when you wake up. Emotions are one of the clues to the meaning of a dream you just woke up from. Meditation or prayer or thoughts of gratitude before I go to sleep have helped me with dream recall and contributes to increased relaxation, ease, creativity, strength, and positivity throughout the next day.
