North Korea Predictions
Great changes come in North Korea in 8-9 years caused by leadership change, uprising, and rebellion. A damaging event within the country in 4-5 years destabilises the regime and makes the country vulnerable to unrest. But it will take about 20 years to see true freedom and the opening of doors in this country. 20 years from now, North Korea will have similarities to where China is today.
Kim Jong-un Affected by Heart Defect
Kim Jong-un has been hiding some escalating health problems for the last couple of years. He wants to project an image of being a strong, capable leader, so he isolates himself and hires stunt doubles for most public appearances due to a lack of physical strength. There will be a coma resulting from an episode of congestive heart failure. Kim's lack of ability to participate will diminish isolationism as North Korea's propaganda state slowly erodes. He has written a will and testament stating that his successor must continue what he has started under threat of consequences from a series of officials who are currently working for Kim.

The Future Merging of Religions
Why have just a couple of pieces of toast when you can eat the whole sandwich? Look for hybrid religions to start developing soon. No need to take years deciding which religion to join when you'll have the option to be a Buddhist-Jewish-Catholic with add-on options to study astrology at church. Which brings up the question, is monotheism polytheism if you're worshiping more than one monotheistic God?
Look for future houses of worship that simultaneously celebrate multiple faiths. In the U.S., this religious movement will be most noticeable at first in and around San Francisco and particularly the East Bay Area. Portland and Seattle quickly follow suit.
"Plus Size" Will Stop Being Used as a Term in Retail Clothing and Fashion Shows
Plus size will stop being called plus size in retail stores and ads. What is it plus size being compared to, anyway? "Normal" size? Which culture and period in history determines the definition of "normal"? "Plus Size" is subjective, based on culture, life experience, and self-perception, and therefore is irrelevant in determining an accurate term for a category of clothing.
Look for more models of various sizes and facial features to be more celebrated in the future. There will be bald female models, transgendered models will become a norm and not an anomaly, and people's expressions in ads will become more natural and less posed.
As acceptance becomes more, well, acceptable, a question arises: how much value do we place on physical appearance, and where does that get us? Is it more helpful or harmful to emphasise looks over other traits? Additionally, the introduction of genetic programming and alterations will make appearances less important, as being able to change what we're born with will decrease the fascination our society has when we worship someone with a balanced face as some sort of miracle. Genetic alterations will serve to gradually demystify beauty, rather than making us even more obsessed with it.
Communal Art and the Shift from Selfies to Groupies (Group Portraits)
The future of photography, film and fashion shows will be more about self-expression and how groups of people contribute to performative projects with unique abilities and choices. Group works as artists and filmmakers will become more popular as we move from an era of praising independence into a time of congratulating interdependence. One of the last expressions of a dying culture of self-promotion screaming to be heard is in the form of self-portraits, particularly selfies. The transformation into a communal culture will happen over the course of many years, as external events on a global scale will urge us to abandon a culture of isolation in favour of social cooperation. Look for group self-portraits called groupies, which will be made by multiple artists (each contributing self-portraits to a collective work and resulting in collaborative group portraits) to exemplify this shift from self-preservation to serving the greater good of the group.
