Life and Afterlife Coaching: Is the Love Worth the Risk?
On our most recent episode of Zodiac Divas, “A Tenny for Your Thoughts”, we discussed a quote by 19th-century British poet Alfred Lord Tennyson:
“'Tis better to have loved and lost/ Than never to have loved at all.”
There’s no reward without risk, and anything we gain in life comes with the possibility of loss. At least when we take a chance by letting ourselves have an experience, we can go through life with less regret. We can enjoy our memories instead of having fantasies of what could have been. Also, by loving, we give to another person one of the most valuable experiences another being can ever know. The beauty of it is that by loving another, we become a pure channel for divine consciousness, thus instantly feeling the love of Great Spirit ourselves. Being alive can be a love affair with Nature itself.
It is our choice at any moment of any day to give love, even if it’s just through prayers or by making eye contact with a stranger and focusing on the word “love”. It might be the only kind gesture that person receives today. There’s no need to worry that by giving love, we will run out. Love has an endless supply and the extent to which we can love another being knows no bounds.
If you haven’t taken a risk in loving another person yet, it’s never too late to make a connection. Also, if you believe in past and future lives, we may have loved and lost in the past, or we might never have chosen to open our hearts, but we still will have many more chances to come in the future.
