Life and Afterlife Coaching: "How to Take a Spiritual Vacation"
Tonight we had actor Christopher Atkins from "The Blue Lagoon" as a special guest on our show. We discussed the romance of tropical locales, and coincidentally, this week is Spring Break for many. But for those of us who don't get a Spring Break, how can we take a vacation when we don’t have much time to get away from work?
Self-care is a great way to take mini-vacations throughout the day, and incidentally is also an excellent tactic for attracting a relationship when you least expect it. By keeping the focus on yourself and being loving toward yourself, you'll start to bring friends and lovers into your life who act loving in their relationship to you. People interpret the way we treat ourselves as a signal of what our minimum expectations are of others who want to have a place in our lives, so if we're nurturing toward ourselves, only those who are capable of love will be able to stay in our lives. Here are some Spring Break tips on practising self-love when you are pressed for time: *Write a daily gratitude list, *Keep a worry box where you send your concerns out to the Universe and by doing so, clear your mind for more positive thoughts to have a space to flourish, *Remember to have fun. Humour can be found anywhere that you're open to seeing it. *Focus on one task at a time to stay present, which helps you to feel more relaxed, *Keep a journal to put things in perspective, * Be clear about boundaries so you can make space in your life to do the things you love and to be with the people who matter to you, *Meditate for insights on how to make more time for yourself in your life, * Practise self-acceptance. You can say a prayer to the Universe, such as "Universe, please help me to accept myself as I am." Having self-acceptance is a crucial component in attracting a healthy romantic relationship into your life, and... *Do the things you love, because, as we say on the show, when you do what you love...you find someone who loves to do you! ;)
