On our most recent episode of Zodiac Divas with Butch Patrick, special guest and legendary comedic actor Stephen Furst discussed the inspiration for his book Confessions of a Couch Potato and how experiencing a health crisis can give us a new perspective on the meaning of life. Many people find a spiritual awakening when dealing with or recovering from a setback. Co-host Butch Patrick mentioned his own spiritual transformation that occurred when he nearly lost his ability to walk. When something painful and unfortunate occurs, it’s not meant to be a punishment. However, you can use what’s happened in the past to create something more positive in the future, if you have the willingness and optimism to see opportunity in adversity. Both Butch and Stephen took what could have been a devastating circumstance and used it to contribute to the world through service to others and by using their wisdom to guide those in need of inspiration along their path in life.
